The Next Version of Spoke Starts With Your Feedback

Spoke Rolls On:
Finding the Right Ride for More Riders
June 15, 2026
Spoke is starting to feel less like a single weekly ride and more like a full community taking shape. This past week had a little bit of everything: Thursday Night Thunder hit week two and brought exactly what it promised.
Spicy legs, faster miles, and a place for riders who want a little more heat to find each other. Saturday kept the social engine moving. Mountain biking had a big weekend too, with Julie hosting another mountain bike ride while I finally got myself onto a mountain bike as well. Turns out, I really enjoyed it.
Which is both exciting and slightly dangerous, because apparently the answer to “how many bikes do we need?” may continue to be “yes.”

More importantly, the week reminded me of something we are learning in real time: there are a lot of different riders here. Road riders, mountain bikers, gravel-curious riders, newer riders, strong riders, social riders, spicy riders, people who want to train, people who want to meet friends, people who are nervous to show up, and people who have been watching for weeks while trying to figure out where they fit. That is the next chapter of Spoke. We are growing.
Now the question is: how do we serve everyone even better?
Saturday Social has become the anchor. It is consistent, welcoming, and no-drop. It gives people a reliable place to show up every week and know there will be a group. However, one ride cannot be everything for everyone. For some people, Saturday Social may feel too fast. For others, too slow. Some people want more beginner-friendly miles. Some want longer days. Some want dirt. Some want women’s rides. Some want spicy road efforts. Some want a casual coffee spin. Some want to ride but are still waiting for the right doorway in.
That does not mean the ride is broken.
It means the community is ready for more lanes.
So this week, we are asking for feedback. We put together a short Spoke feedback survey to better understand who is here, what people are looking for, what ride times work, what ride types people want, why some people came once and did not come back, and what would help more riders feel comfortable getting involved. This is not about trying to become everything to everyone. It is about listening before we build.
If you have been riding every week, we want your voice. If you came once and have not been back, we really want your voice. If you have been lurking from the sidelines, your voice may be the most important one. Help us build around actual demand, not guesses.

Another big piece of the story: Spoke jerseys are now available to buy on demand. After the first community order, the store is officially open, which means you no longer have to wait for a group pre-order window to get one. If you missed the first round, joined recently, or saw one out on the road and thought, “Alright, I might need one of those,” now is your chance.
The jersey is not required to ride with Spoke. It never will be. It has been pretty special seeing the kit start to show up around Summit County. It makes this whole thing feel a little more real. Not because of the clothing itself, but because of what it represents: people choosing to be part of something local, growing, and community-built.

If you are new, curious, or trying to understand how all the pieces fit together, the Spoke Field Guide is the best place to start. It has the basic orientation: how rides work, where to find updates, what the WhatsApp groups are for, what to expect, and how to plug in without feeling like you need to know everything already.

Upcoming Events
This week also gives us a perfect chance to spend time together without helmets, routes, or regroup points. Friday, June 19 is Rock the Dock at the Frisco Marina. It is already one of the big kickoff-the-summer events in town, and Spoke will be there. Come hang, grab a drink, listen to music, meet people, bring a friend, and celebrate the start of summer with the community. Sometimes the best way to make the next ride feel less intimidating is to meet a few people before the ride ever starts.
Looking ahead to this Saturday, June 20, we will have two very different road options. The usual Saturday Social will roll at 10:00 AM from Rocky Mountain Coffee Roasters in Frisco. This remains the weekly anchor ride: social, welcoming, no-drop, and open to newer faces. There will also be a group taking on the Copper Triangle. This is a much longer and more advanced mountain road ride, roughly 85 miles if starting from Copper, with the option to make it a century-style day by rolling from Frisco. This one is for riders who are ready for a big day, big climbs, and a more self-sufficient effort.
Two rides. Two different lanes. Same community. That is the direction we are heading: more ways to plug in, more ways to challenge yourself, more ways to meet people, and more ways to belong.
Also coming up, Wednesday, June 24 is Bike to Work Day. Whether you commute every day or have never ridden to work once, this is a perfect excuse to choose the bike for one ordinary trip and make it feel a little less ordinary. Ride to work. Ride to coffee. Ride to an errand. Ride part of the way. Ride with a friend. Just ride somewhere you normally would not.
Then Monday, June 29 is the next Spoke Full Moon Night Ride. Lights required. All bikes welcome. Late-night Summit County magic. These rides have a totally different feel: cooler air, quieter paths, glowing peaks, and a reminder that cycling does not always have to be about speed, distance, or fitness. Sometimes it is just about being outside together under the moon.
That is the story right now. Spoke is growing. The ride calendar is growing. The community is growing. Now we want to make sure the invitation grows with it. So come to a ride. Come to Rock the Dock. Fill out the survey. Bring a friend. Suggest a route. Offer to host. Tell us what would help you come back.
Come once for the ride.
Come back for the people.
Help us build the next version.
