Do I need to be an advanced rider to join?
Not at all. Spoke is for everyone — whether you’re new to cycling or training for your next century ride. We offer a mix of ride types and paces.
What kind of bike should I bring?
Depends on the ride! Road rides call for road bikes, gravel rides for something with wider tires, and MTB rides for, well… mountains. Cruiser rides welcome anything with wheels and vibes.
How do I join a ride?
We post ride details in our private WhatsApp group. Request access via the contact form and we’ll send you the link!
Are your rides “no-drop”?
Yes — most rides are no-drop unless otherwise noted. We prioritize community and make sure no one gets left behind.
Do I need to RSVP for rides?
Not usually, but giving a heads-up helps us plan. If it's a special event or limited group size, we’ll let you know.
What if the weather looks iffy?
Safety first. We’ll post any ride cancellations or changes in the WhatsApp group the day of.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely. Just make sure they fill out the ride form so we have their info too.
Is Spoke a club or a business?
We’re a community first and foremost. No dues, no red tape — just good people on bikes. (That said, we’re exploring non-profit status for future growth.)
We ride together to build something bigger than ourselves. That means:
Be Kind.
Greet new faces. Offer encouragement. Assume good intentions.
Ride Safe.
Follow traffic laws. Call out hazards. Helmets required. Good vibes optional but encouraged.
No Ego.
We’re here for connection, not competition. Drop the pace, not the people.
Respect the Space.
Our WhatsApp group is for ride info, encouragement, and community sharing, not ads.
Take Care of Each Other.
If someone needs a hand, give it. If you need support, ask. We're stronger together.
Leave No Trace.
On trails, roads, or town paths, let’s leave things better than we found them.
