Spoke’s cycling season is beginning to wind down.
Over the past several months, people across Summit County have gathered for weekly rides, climbed mountain passes, explored trails, welcomed new riders and turned online invitations into genuine connections.
The regular cycling calendar may be slowing, but the community is not disappearing. Fat biking, Nordic skiing and Alpine plans will give members ways to continue connecting through winter. At the same time, this transition gives us an opportunity to pause, learn and determine what Spoke should become in 2027.
That begins with hearing from the people who experienced it.
The End of Season Community Survey
The 2026 Spoke End of Season Community Survey is now open.
This survey is not only for the members who joined every week. It is for everyone who encountered Spoke this year:
Those who attended one ride or event
Those who became regular participants
Those who connected through WhatsApp or Strava
Those who followed along but never found the right opportunity to participate
Those who are interested in helping shape what happens next
The questions cover participation, scheduling, communication, barriers to joining, future activities and the parts of Spoke that should never be lost as the community grows.
There is also space to share a favorite memory, suggest something new and express interest in hosting, welcoming members, planning routes, supporting events or contributing in another way.
The survey should take approximately four to six minutes. Most questions are optional, and anonymous responses are welcome.

One More Reason to Gather
Before the season is fully closed, there should be one more opportunity to gather.
Plans are beginning to take shape for an end of season celebration at the Spoke container, part closing day, part party and part chance to recognize everything this community created during its first season.
The date and details are still being finalized, so this is not the official invitation yet. Consider it an early heads-up that one more gathering is coming. There will be more information soon.
The Final Jersey Store of 2026
The end of year Spoke jersey store is also open for one final ordering window.
The store closes at the end of the day on Sunday, November 8. Anyone who has been waiting to order a Spoke jersey, replace one or add another to the rotation should place an order before the deadline.

What Comes Next
An end of season survey is only useful if the community sees what happens afterward.
Once responses are collected, the feedback will be reviewed for common themes:
Which rides and experiences people valued most
What prevented people from participating
Which days and times worked, or did not
What members want to experience in 2027
Where new hosts and contributors may be ready to step forward
Which parts of Spoke’s culture must remain protected as it grows
Those findings will help shape next season’s calendar, communication and priorities. A summary will be shared with the community so members can see what was heard and what direction begins emerging from it.
Spoke’s first season was built one invitation, one ride and one connection at a time. Now there is an opportunity to reflect on what worked, celebrate what happened and build the next season with greater intention.
