Momentum Is Building

There’s something really encouraging happening right now.

Last night’s social was a big reminder of why Spoke exists in the first place. We had a great turnout, met a lot of new faces, swapped bike stories, and shared plenty of smiles along the way. It felt easy, welcoming, and real. The kind of night that makes you step back and realize this thing we started on a whim is turning into something meaningful. Spoke is continuing to grow here in Summit County, and with our weekly Saturday rides gathering in Frisco, the season is starting to feel very real.

To everyone who came out, thank you. To everyone who is new here, welcome. We’re glad you found us.

There are a few important updates to carry into this week.

First, jersey orders are officially open, and the initial order window will remain open through Sunday, April 19. This first round matters because we need to hit the minimum for the initial print run. If you’ve been thinking about getting one, now is the time. It’s exciting to see that side of the community starting to come to life too.

We also have our first official Saturday ride on the calendar for this weekend. Moving forward, Saturday rides will begin at 10:00 a.m. from 3rd Street in Frisco, at Rocky Mountain Coffee Roasters and Rebel Sports. That will be our regular starting point as we settle into the rhythm of the season.

That said, the weather has shifted quite a bit over the last couple of days. What was once looking mild is now trending much colder, and if that forecast holds, we will simply postpone the ride until next week. No need to force it this early in the season. We want these rides to feel welcoming and fun, not like an exercise in surviving spring in the mountains.

As always, any ride updates or changes will be communicated through WhatsApp, with support on Instagram, so keep an eye on whichever works best for you.

We’re also working on a Day 1 Orientation FAQ. Essentially a simple cheat sheet for new members so that joining Spoke feels easy from the start. Where to look, how to stay in the loop, what to know, and how to jump in. It’s still in progress, but it’s coming soon and should help make the whole experience feel more connected and clear.

That’s the heartbeat of this week: gratitude, momentum, and the first real signs of the season taking shape.

We’re still early. The weather will do what it does. Plans may shift. But the energy is here, the people are here, and this community is growing in exactly the kind of way we hoped it would, with one conversation, one ride, and one community gathering at a time.
